Summer- Hiking/ camping Guide

Season: June- September
Area: Vancouver Island or Rockies
Certs: Advanced First Aid/ Class 4 DL
Application Period: October- May (apply as early as possible)
Lead camping and hiking tours from Calgary through the Rockies or Victoria around Vancouver Island. Typical day includes: cooking, food preparation, making fires, setting up campsite, hiking, nature interpretation and driving. Your office has no walls, fresh air, loads of sunshine and you fall asleep under the stars every night. These tours are lots of work, so the rewards are well earned. Apply if you dare!


Winter- Ski/ SNowboard Guide

Season: Late December- March
Area: Powder Highway- Rockies
Certs: First Aid/ Class 4 DL. (CAA, AST, CSIA, CASI help)
Application Period: April- November (apply as early as possible)
The dream job for serious skiers and boarders. Turn your passion into a living, leading guided trips around the Powder Highway and Rockies. Typical day includes: planning cafes/ restaurants, helping guests with rentals/ lessons/ tours, winter driving, guiding up to 12 guests around the best terrain at any of the ski resorts on our tours. You ski more during this job than any other snow guiding job! First to last chair, every day!


Fresh Adventures is proud to include the best guides in the industry on our Canada adventure tours. We are able to provide seasonal employment, or contract work for single trips to qualified individuals. Things we look for in our staff are:

  • Class 4 or 2 unrestricted driver’s license(required)

  • Advanced Wilderness First Aid (40- 90 hour) (required)

  • acmg hiking guide/ assistant hiking guide (preferred)

  • IGA professional / apprentice interpreter (preferred)

  • ski/ snowboard instructor, canoe guide, ast, swiftwater, etc (preferred)

  • Experience cooking (preferred)

  • Experience working in a guiding position (preferred)

  • highly professional, clear communicator, reliable, hard working, fast learner

  • Past outdoor leadership courses

  • Vast personal wilderness experience

  • Leave No Trace certification
